Still I Rise

MixedGirlMane takes a step back from regular episodes to address the Uprisings happening in particular in the United States but since the time of record has now spread around the globe. The episode opens with Maya Angelou reading of her poem Still I Rise, as it has been like a soundtrack on repeat in my head all weekend. I hope that if you are physically at the protests you are returning home safely, I hope that you are all taking care of your mental and emotional health right now, and I hope that you're finding ways to perform activism that works best for you and your skillsets.

If you would like to contribute to funds related to the Uprisings, below are links to a few organizations that are working hard for Black and Brown communities.
