Goodbye Mr. Spinney, Big Bird, & Oscar the Grouch

I've come off of hiatus to say goodbye to Caroll Spinney, whom the world knows best as Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch. I was lucky enough to spend 3 days with Caroll and his wife, Debra, as a talent handler and driver for a PBS special back in 2014. During that time I got to meet and look after a childhood hero. Caroll Spinney's work as Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch meant a lot to me in childhood, his attitude and love of his work even after 50 years means a lot to me as an adult. I grieve heavily for the loss of Caroll Spinney and I wanted to mark his passing on the show with a few stories about my time with him. Please join me in saying goodbye to Mr. Spinney, he'll be missed so much.
